Recipe Book

Bringing our community together to create a lasting legacy

Food for Cultural Celebration

In diverse schools like ours, a cookbook becomes a vibrant map of the community’s heritage, introducing families to international flavours they might not have tried otherwise.

Small Title

Pride

We're hoping that seeing your recipe in print, along with the name and photo of your child (if you wish) will provide a sense of pride and give you a sense of "ownership" of the schools culture.

Small Title

Healthy Eating

Lets share our personal recipe's that go down a treat, to promote nutritious, budget-friendly meals that are actually "kid-tested" by peers.

Small Title

Preserving Tradition

Our recipe book will capture the "spirit" of the school at a specific point in time.  Twenty years from now, people will look back at these recipes as a nostalgic record.

Timeline

We’ll be collecting recipes from the second half of the Summer Term through to the Autumn term. Once submissions are gathered, we’ll dive into the creative process with our supplier and aim to have the finished book ready for Christmas!

Our goal is to feature as many of your dishes as possible. To ensure a delicious variety for everyone, we’ll be selecting recipes that offer a diverse range of flavours and styles. If we find we have several very similar entries and cannot include yours, we will, of course, return your £1.50 entry fee. In the unlikely event that we don't receive enough entries to move forward with printing, all fees will be fully refunded.

If your recipe has a specific cultural heritage or is a significant cultural dish or delicacy and you would like this include on your recipe page, please let us know some more information here.

Please provide any measurements using metric figures where possible (grams/kilograms)

We'll need to include a photo of your recipe having been made, so please take a clear a photo as possible with a neutral background, with the final meal in a bowl or on a plate.

We might be able to include a photo of your family in the kitchen cooking together. If you include one, we'll do our best to include it in the recipe book, but due to the number of pages it may not be possible.

This recipe is written in my own words and not directly copied, in its original form, from a book or website.
